VETERANS

Larry Nelson, PER, is dedicated to serving our veterans at the Long Beach Veterans Hospital.

December 12, 2004 - With the help of Lakewood Lodge 1570 and the Purple Hearts Local 210, the Vets were visited on Dec 12th and were given stocking stuffed with fruit, candy and canteen books. Each patient was also given a leg warmer quilt, hand made by our Lady Elks. Larry goes to great lengths to see that our Vets visited regularly. He has friendly bingo game every couple of months and participates in the annual Carnivals that are held at the hospital for the Vets.

November 25, 2004 - 25 turkey dinners, complete with cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie was delivered to the hospital.
